JAPANESE GARDEN
The Japanese garden, which has been carefully preserved before its construction, is fed water by the Lake Biwa Canal that flows water through the neighboring Murinan. The canal, which was opened after the Meiji Restoration (the 1850s), continues to bring water. It creates the culture of Kyoto into the present. You can also enjoy the seasonal sceneries of the garden while having dinner at the restaurant or drinking at the bar.
BAR / DETACHED HOUSE
Surrounded by lush flowers and trees in the garden overlooking from the house, the traditional Japanese architecture of the detached house stands quietly. It reflects its appearance on the water's surface, which is drawn from the Lake Biwa Canal. The beautiful Japanese maple and pine trees were inherited from the garden before FUFU Kyoto was built and preserved to this day. You can also grab a drink before or after dinner here.
RESTAURANT IOTO
With a view of the beautiful Japanese garden, FUFU Kyoto's restaurant "Ioto" offers a taste of Japan's four seasons. The space is partitioned by a narrow lattice, reminiscent of Kyoto's long, narrow alleys, creating a sense of privacy unique to FUFU. The restaurant's interior is decorated with a sense of Kyoto's history and culture, gold or silver lacquer trays made by Kyoto craftsmen, bonsai trees floating in the air, and flowers of the four seasons arranged here and there, creating a world view unique to FUFU.
SOUVENIR
Aroma oil, incense sticks, and other original FUFU amenities in the guest rooms are available for purchase. We also offer Japanese paper stationery and snacks carefully made by Kyoto craftsmen.
